Moschino SS’16, Trying to find a slogan for a collection and a fashion show, which is a series of messages and warnings, is mission impossible. Call for Tom Cruise! “Dangerous couture ahead“: reality and requirements stage melted completely, yesterday evening at 20 in the hangar in Via San Luca, where Jeremy Scott has set up his virtual \ real building site.
Moschino SS’16 dangerous couture ahead
Considering the traffic jam, a concert kind of crowd, warning signs everywhere, it was impossible to understand where the set ended and the reality of a show that recalls hundreds of people was starting.
The whole idea of the set was a car washing place that left no room for imagination and everybody was immediately prepared for a pop show.
The references to a car wash site are not at all allusive, nothing was tacit, everything was like a literal translation. There are safety cones which turn into hard hats, pochette and boots ready to wear when wet; classy tailleur in cotton macramè made as a safety net; helms with veils; tweed which turns into reflecting materials and bows tied at the waist of tailleur and cocktail dresses.
Pop atmospheres for 50’s and 60’s silhouttes in Moschino SS’16collection
“What if I created a building site with big wash brushes to create an unveiled surprise. Sophisticated looks, very chic, but colorful and made of reflecting materials. Everything is around the idea of a car washing” says Jeremy Scott in the backstage and the end of the fashion show.
And we had a surprise! Just when you think everything is over, Cadillac dresses enter the catwalk together with fringe dresses with the shape of car brushes and happy models.

Oh my! Haha! I’ve watched this show with a winking eye of Jeremy Scott! I honestly can’t wait to see the pieces on the streets, especially rocking by Anna dello Russo. And now let’s sing the song of Rose Royce:
At the car wash
Workin’ at the car wash yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Car wash
Talkin’ about the car wash
Happy Monday, Mari!
