It’s always difficult to find something that strikes you. It is even more complicated to understand the reasons why something gets your attention. Today, browsing a bit with the subject “the city”, I found this shot. Damon Baker captures “Domestic Disturbia” starring Iris van Berne. I don’t know his thoughts. Certainly I would never throw a Birkin away in place of rubbish – what about you!? But, perhaps, this could be an invitation to reflect – more than ever during this month of Fashion Weeks – to recognize and evaluate the new collections with an eye to the past. The History of Fashion teaching us and renewing, today. Maybe it’s not bad to avoid the “disposable”, very recent, trend and aim to something not harnessed in the moment, but able to climb over the seasons…going beyond.

Damon Baker cattura “Domestic Disturbia” fotografando Iris van Berne.

great post ;;)
thank you. This is a very simple thought, but that photo was very inspiring. This period with Fashion week all around the world makes me so involved and excited, but soon after it I feel confused and I think we should remind it’s a business and for this reason has some limits. Anyway I love to enjoy it. xxx
so so true! we love this post!

Great post! Did you see Jimmy Kimmels faux fashion interviews? Definitely made me think about the obsession with being “on trend” in this industry.

Very nice!
:). Simply thank you
I could never understand why people have to have the “it” item of the moment. I would rather have something no one else has.
I know what you mean. Sometimes it’s a matter of no strong personality, some other the way to feel like that actress…or it could be simply a matter of being on the spot. I think it’s much more complicated and challenging to be a trendsetter – to influence and decide new “it” item – exactly as you said. Great comment
I agree 🙂 The most important aspect is finding clothes that reflects you 🙂
Well said!
Ciao bella! I appreciate your comment. xxx
Amen, Mari!
Ehi amicaaaa. Sapevo che avresti condiviso. Come stai?

Baci
