Sergio Daricello is pret-à-couture time

Sergio Daricello

Sergio Daricello is one of those who still has a story to tell and who tells it with his personal view of fashion and passion. If someone may say that a designer is a fashion storyteller, this is very true for Sergio who puts his life in fashion. Not because fashion is his work, and of course his passion, but because his clothes are the result of his experiences, and also of his birth origin. He is not from Sicily, but from Palermo (in Sicily of course). And, despite he has been living in Milan for eighteen years, he has decided to use his origins as a ‘manifesto’.

Sergio Daricello has his own point of view

At a time when the general public seems to be divided into two extremes: those who aim to appear – allowing themselves to be surrended to extravagances and excesses – and others who exasperates the famous less is more – by focusing on total black, minimal forms and avantgarde effects – finding a designer who, despite the young age of the brand, is looking for his own language and identity, is a rarity. Like a modern Coutourier he draws every outfit thinking about who will wear it. Thinking of the woman who decide to cover herself with a gold gown or the shirt dresses with a retro twist or the volumetric white shirt. The same woman  who will appreciate the value of craftsmanship and that  special flavor that makes Made in Italy famous throughout the world.

Sergio Daricello, his fashion speaks of architecture

The architecture is found in the clothing’s volumes – the sleeves, shoulders and motifs on the bust. In the cuts of the fabric, decorations or prints. It is not easy to find a way to reproduce an architectural motif on a dress without being pop. The windows of a church on a pink and blue background give life to an unexpected style and a new kind of language.
