Today’s Spring things start with the news that Gregory Peck is 100 years old. Despite his century, the star of Vacanze Romane is still able to seduce us. A perfect elegance suspended between timeless class and savoir faire, more than ever alive among those of us who love the nostalgic mood. Much less nostalgic and less old is the ideal of perfect man that we saw, some days ago, in David Beckham. How many women have admired him for sewing his daughter’s doll dresses?

Spring things, another one, and we still haven’t understand the difference between good and evil

The time should be ripe and mature and so are the qualities we have seen compared to a man born in 1916. This is not completely true. A hundred years later – on the 5th of April 2016 – someone launches a publicity campaign against AIDS, which is titled “The AIDS is in fashion”. The message is either obviously quite provocative, or in bad taste. So, despite the maturity of the world we live in, we are still not able to figure out how far we can go without harming or offending others.
