Altaroma logbook, day #1

A cloudy gray sky with continuous and sporadic rainy showers.
This has been weather condition in Rome since this morning. A not so important detail if you consider that the spotlights are now on in the Capital.

Yes, finally we have started today, and not only with the high fashion ( Altamoda ), but with creativity tout court as the unique protagonist of the next four days in the Eternal City.

Everybody who is used to attend the Altaroma shows knows before this edition we got emotionally tested, but happy that the #iostoconaltaroma worked.

It does not matter if the historic location of Borgo S. Spirito has not been available this time.
The Altaroma Space set up in a marquee outside the Auditorium Parco della Musica is one of those temporary \ contemporaneity places that, as an empty container, can accommodate any possible world.

And in the official calendar many worlds are scheduled since the first day.

I started with Ettore Bilotta fashion show this morning. For him it is a return on Altaroma’s catwalk and his collection had walked the runaway of the new space first, showing us a timeless collection made of simple sartorial elements. The soft black transparencies and the floral explosion took my heart.

From the big opening in the new location, I will mobe in twenty minutes to the artists of Room Service, at Flora’s hotel in Via Veneto.

It is one of the hub of Altaroma. All of the Flora hotel rooms become as small shops that host designers and stylists.

The names are many, the craftsmanship and creativity too. Impossible not to get lost in the sequence of rooms that are colored in glamorous accessories.

The event, which begins today, will be open to everyone up to Sunday.

And after that, it ‘s still time for new designers, at Coin Excelsior. Here the creations of the young winners of Who is on next – Piccione Piccione, Daizy Shely, Benedetta Bruzziches will be exposed.

And if during Altaroma fashion becomes art, it will not be difficult to get confused in the space set up by Fabio Novembre.

And to take it to the next level, considering that people of AltaRoma never sleep I’m going to end the first day with the party organized by  IED “I wish fashion Party” – inspired by the musical “into the woods”. Yes I wish party and let’s do it.
