Boho-chic as a floral skirt and the sea all around

Boho-chic, it means bohemian, hippy and chic. Isn’t it also the exact definition of a spectacle of nature, the one when the sea merges with the sky? Bohemian gypsy stands for traveler, chic is elegance, while hippy means free and naive spirit, popular in the sixties. In these improvised shots, made wearing a long skirt with a gipsy flavour and a cotton top, there is a lot of me and of ilovegreeninspiration.

This is not a fashion blog. I’ve never liked labels, even less those who attempt to put you in a certain category, where someone tries to identify common behaviors. I prefer to call it a blog magazine or a blogzine, a digital magazine on the platform of a blog. Yes, a fashion blogozine a fashion that deals with design and architecture.

My background is definitely bohemian, like any real creative person, and it is architecture. As Tom Ford, Versace and Ferré. “Fashion is all a matter of proportions just as the architecture”, said Mademoiselle. It is a natural instinct to Beauty and an aptitude towards aesthetics. Maybe that’s why I came here after two years working for luxury fashion brands like Roberto Cavalli.
And also because I’ve always loved writing and if I didn’ study letters is for the senseless ability that almost all of us have, not to follow what adults advise us to do. I don’t read novels, usually. I don’t like to leave my fantasy world and enter into someone else’s one. I read about fashion and architecture. Everything. If I want to know something about a fashion show I haven’t seen, I look for reviews by Suzy Menkes, with whom I share the Press Office room during AltaRoma and WWD. Both of them have a journalistic style that goes straight to the point, talking about materials, patterns, fabrics and workmanship with a capacity for critical synthesis and pungent attitude that leaves in your mouth the taste of a collection. I read the titles – not always the article – of some magazines such as Officiel, Vogue and Elle.

What about fashion blogs? I have great respect for some of them. There are three or four I follow from the beginning and they distinguished themselves by having a strong and out of line editorial thought. They are much more than fashion blogger. If I were to make a name, I would say Garance Doré, a fabulous French illustrator who lives in New York. And I have said everything. In these years I’ve spent so much time in fashion world I have met many people and seen a lot of cool places. Worked with Press Offices, journalists, designers and those who simply try to find their place in fashion. Everyone always leaves me something, sometimes something with a bitter taste, but it’s still better than nothing. For these and many other reasons I do not like to be called a fashion blogger, with that vein of skepticism mixed with derision, of those who think it’s all a barter of objects, favors and walkways waiting for Scott from Sartorialist, noticing us.

My boho chic soul is all here, where I write about fashion, design and architecture, analyzing trends in a cross way and using nature with a sense of aesthetics, ethics, but even inspirational poetical line. So, if you want a breath of fresh air, I’m here, because green is the new black impossible to forget.
