…Spudoratamente metropolitane, incredibilmente chic, velatamente dandy e dolcemente bohemienne…
Fashion is also a matter of instinct, of feeling under the skin … you can like something without a reason.
These shoes have ravished my heart. Paul Andrew is The shoes designer. I’ve met him during Alta Roma. He participated in “Who is on next 2013” competition “the fashion scouting project for young talents, conceived by Altaroma in collaboration with Vogue Italia. It is an incubator for new talents and acts”. I couldn’t avoid talking to him, because his collection shines bright on the others . A guy from England, based in New york but who has been making shoes in Italy for the past fifteen years and he has a particular warm feeling for made in Italy. As an Italian, I have to admit that I can easily perceive the underlying sweet Italian elegance mixed with the over the sea avantgarde. The flowered stiletto was the first to catch my attention. It reminded me a picture from Impressionism so I asked if he had a “green inspiration” . He answered “not really”. But I was more precise explaining: “a green inspiration could simply mean being inspired by Nature. He continued ” oh yes, I’ve worked with Andrew Zuckerman – an artist and photographer – to imagine and create the flowers printed on my shoes!”.
That was incredibly well done!!! I told him “you deserve to win and wished to see his shoes in Corso Como, in Milan!” – he was the best very far from the others.
Guess what then?!? Drum roll….He won!. Congratulation Paul!

Congratulazioni Paul!!!

Those shoes caught my attention first. I think they show us his background: an English who lives in NY. So metropolitan but with high sophistication

My favorite together with the floral stiletto, but the feathers…can’t wait to wear them sooner or later.

A volte basta veramente poco.
