Packing my luggage to go to NY to my first fashion week has been a hard challenge.

I know…packing is never an easy task … but planning your luggage to go to the Big Apple for more than 20 fashion shows, has been more difficult than ever.

One thousand doubts. uncertainties…

…Regarding time; people; locations and events.

I caught inspiration everywhere – from catwalk to street style.

I asked you  all to advice and help me.

I received mails, messages and comments. Lots of. So useful I can never thank you enough.

I have so much info, now, that I could even write a sort of “Fashion Week Etiquette.” Rules, tips, suggestions, “must have” and “not to do”.

I’ve appreciated all the advice, but now that I’m back, I can say that there is something more true and compelling. Half of the suitcase would have been enough, if only you never go without it.

Which is the secret ingredient? Jewelry…followed by colors and prints.

With the right piece of jewelry you can’t pass unobserved. I can say it’s the accessory you could never miss more than a handbag – whether it is a super trendy clutch or a minimal pochette.

A necklace – not necessarily precious – but flashy and eye-catching is able to attract the attention of anyone.

Luxury and exclusivity are not the right words, but color, originality and creativity yes.

Rings, pendants, earrings and bracelets inspired by nature, architecture or comics are my favorite.

Ultra shiny, bright and eye-catching necklace on a sweatshirt – maybe gray-; a pair of earrings or a cuff – preferably out of scale – on a total black look;  a maxi design ring with a perfect manicure; a fluo color set for a crazy and printed outfit.

I’ll show you what I’ve bought…but there is so much stuff I still want to buy.

Fare la valigia per andare a New York alla mia prima Settimana della Moda è stata una sfida.

Lo so bene…fare la valigia non è mai un’impresa semplice…ma fare la valigia per andare nella Grande Mela per assistere a più di 20 sfilate, è stato più difficile che mai.

Mille dubbi, incertezze e perplessità. Il tempo. La gente. Le location e gli eventi.

Ho cercato ispirazione ovunque – dalle passerelle allo street style. Ho chiesto consiglio e aiuto a  tutti voi.

E in effetti ho ricevuto mail. Messaggi e commenti. Moltissimi. E così utili che non credo vi ringrazierò mai abbastanza.

Ho cos’ tante informazioni, adesso, che potrei scrivere una specie di “Galateo da settimana della moda”. Regole, consigli, suggerimenti, cose da fare assolutamente e cose da non fare. 

Li ho apprezzati tutti, ma ora che sono tornata, posso dire che alcune cose sono verissime e imprescindibili. Che bastava la metà della valigia, se solo non ti dimentichi di portare una cosa…

Qual è l’ingrediente segreto? I gioielli…seguiti dai colori e dalle stampe.

Con il giusto collier non puoi passare inosservata. Potrei dire che è l’accessorio che non deve mancare mai. Più di una borsa – sia essa una clutch all’ultima moda o una minimale pochette.

Un gioiello – non per forza prezioso, anzi – ma luccicoso e\o accattivante attirerebbe l’attenzione di chiunque.

Lusso e esclusività non sono le parole giuste, ma colore, originalità e creatività sì. Anelli, ciondoli, orecchini e bracciali ispirati alla natura, all’architettura o ai fumetti sono i miei preferiti. 

Luminosi, brillanti e provocanti su una felpa -magari grigi; un paio di orecchini o una fascia -preferibilmente fuori scala- su un look completamente nero; un anello enorme con un manicure perfetto; un completo fluorescente per un outfit estroso e stampato.

Mostrerò qui qualcosa che ho comprato a NYC…ma ci sono molte altre cose che vorrei ancora comprare.

Un gioiello  – non per forza prezioso – ma appariscente e accattivante è in grado di attirare l’attenzione di chiunque.

E questo vale soprattutto per gli outfit più semplici. Ultra luccicante, brillante e vistoso su una felpa, magari grigia,  un paio di orecchini, meglio se fuori scala, un anello di design con un manicure perfetto.

Per decidere cosa e dove comprare c’è solo l’imbarazzo della scelta.
