Glitter dresses at Christmas, it’s not going to be pure avantgarde as Miranda would say, but it is a possibility, and not a remote one. Not only. It is an opportunity and why should we loose it? Cinderella’s shoe was glittery and if at that time we won’t define it that way, it surely shone. At least. princesses’s crowns sparkles and Christmas’s small lights too. Shining is the key word. Of our own light, when we are able. Adding a touche eclat as a Parisienne, in some cases. With a gold powder on cheeks or under the eyes, in some others. With a glitter dress at Christmas, New Year‘s Eve or any winter evening.

Glitter dresses at Christmas, do not let them lit only your closet
What are glitters if not dust of light? Fragments of stars that we do not close in a box, but we can wear in the evening, when the light goes off. Thinking of a suit does not mean neither glitter gold – like Charlize Theiron in Dior J’adore, nor silver – as a living Swarosky, nor even black considered for the most of us the elegant version. These are the simplest solutions, I would say too ordinary.
And so should we give up? Never.
Let’s add some powder of light to baby blue, milky white or green water. As a little marmaid who doesn’t wear long dresses, but soft and contemporary silhouettes.
Over sweaters with reindeer and bells or Glitter dresses at Christmas?
There will never be a rule, even less a dress code for the perfect Christmas. Bridget Jones made us laugh showing the naive side of handmade sweaters with big reindeer, H&M is proposing the elfie selfie in all of the windows and someone else always tries to convince us that glitters are too much and often little chic.
Dress to impress and do it your own way, at least during Christmas. Let’s leave the less is more dogma to any other time of the year, to formal occasions and workinng occasion. We have to be unique in order to be perfect in certain occasions.

You ladies have done a fab job! This photoshoot turned awesome. The location, the dresses and the posing – kudos! I also believe there’re no rules concerning looks on Christmas. There will be lots of beautiful gowns on Instagram this year but let’s face it, it’s just for the show since the sweater with the reindeers comes afterwards. ;-D

These are fabulous photos! I’m all for flamboyant and heavily-embellished dresses come this festive season, – there’s something about Christmas that just calls out for sequinned dresses and generally bold looks! 🙂
