The Unbearable Lightness of Being is the title of a novel written in 1982, but it is the first phrase that came to mind reflecting on the Haute Couture four days in Rome, which ended yesterday with what should be a gateway to the future with the new talents. Kundera in the book speaks of the futility of choices and actions that are done in the short lifespan. He considers them irrelevant in the general project of life, because they are often done with lightness. Uncomfortable concept for those at the top of power, annoying for those who prefer to control rather than dialogue, challenging and even risky for those who chose not to bend.

“Learning how to do things in an extraordinary way, focus on quality and excellence” – this is the only way that we have to go, the rest are unnecessary distractions, superficial loss of time that we move away from the ultimate goal.
