Daily yoga. I’ve experienced it on my skin. Yoga works well, in a way very difficult to imagine. It is almost impossible to understand it if you do not try it seriously.
Yoga is not about meditation. Or rather then, it could be, if you think how it strengthen our mind.
Practicing yoga is not repetitive. It’s not even boring. It’s a discipline. Like dancing or gymnastics. It takes time, patience and ability to experiment. With no hurry. Thinking about the present without worrying about the past and the future.
I’ve stopped practicing yoga for one year, but then the world around me became unbearable and I’ve started again.
Now it goes much better.
Daily yoga. What it finds who chooses it
Who chooses yoga chooses him\herself. A person who decides that a journey is more important than getting somewhere. More significant than the goal.
When I began, two and a half years ago, I had no exactly idea what ashtanga was. And I did not even exactly knew it when, day after day, I felt my body begin to dissolve. In flexibility, but also in harmony with the soul. And the world around.
I did not understand it until I decided to quit. And I paid for the consequences.
When you stop practicing daily yoga
If you start doing yoga, you do not have to imagine yourself between prayers and chai tea. Quite the opposite. You have to start focusing on yourself. This is why I’ve started. And the same reason for which I left at some point.
I thought I did not want to stop and think about myself everyday.
And when I got back a few months ago, I realized I needed it so much. The world around me became unbearable.
Going back to yoga means to admit that we love ourselves
And once again, from the initial OM, I realized the way to go back to myself. To turn every day into a stage of a path. Always remembering to:
Inhale love and exhale hate
