There are trends of the season, must – haves, IT bags and total looks. They should make you feel comfortable and “fit” in any occasion.
But I’m not sure if it is true.
Certainly it is the best way to be spotted by street style photographers, but not the right one to get the coveted label of person with style.
On the other hand, I think you will hardly attract Scott Schumann’s attention with a suit screaming its name loudly. The same issue comes if we are talking about Bill Cunningham‘s shots on the street; I’m sure he was not looking for anonymous competitors of Vogue editorials.
In addition, the much loved \ hated total look trend apart from being quite expensive, requires a continuous updating season after season that only people like Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada could try it out effortless.
And don’t forget to imagine you on a Sunday brunch with old friends, a drink with colleagues or a cinema night out wearing the latest trends seen on the catwalk?!?
But something able to “save us” in every situation exists and it is called style.
Certainly the style is independent from trends and it depends more on the self confidence and awareness of the person, even more than on the body type. Anyway I’m getting day after day more convinced than a passparteut style, which saves your life and that is suitable for almost all occasions – excluding extremely mundane events such as evening parties, charity events and red carpet – exists and is composed of some basic and inalienable items.
For the most creative among us, this may seem simplistic and too generalist, but I should mention that it is almost always better:
1. Be less dressed than overdressed
2. Gray and black, especially if made of different fabrics, are always extremely chic
3. A sweatshirt with a statement necklace attracts more attention than a loud floral dress
4. That less is more for the majority of us because combining prints on prints and stripes with flowers and bows with and fabrics needs to be a little like Stella Jean.
5. That a skinny leather pants with a V-neck t – shirt completed by a blazer over your shoulders and a red Dior lipstick can create more victims than a mini and a bustier.
6. That is true that each of us is different, but the synthesis and essentiality is a gift and not a defect and that “give a woman the right shoes – and I would add the right accessories – and she will conquer the world” cit.
❤︎❤︎❤︎
Esistono i trend di stagione, i must – have, le IT bag e i total look. Dovrebbero farti sentire a tuo agio e “adatta” in qualsiasi occasione.
