A surreal atmosphere has surrounded our arrival in Santa Fe. A slight breeze. A blue sky with gray clouds in the background.
Whenever I arrive in a new city I’m confused. I am looking for the city center. But, here, it is not like in Europe, the center doesn’t exist, or, better, it is not as compact and dense as ours. Here, around me, houses with thick walls. Bushes of lavender and agave.
After eating chicken tajitas and tacos, I’ve dropped everything except the camera and began to wander. The main street in Santa Fe is an uninterrupted line of craft shops and local jewelry. The doors of the boutique are all open and the owners friendly and curious. Almost as much as me. Art Galleries. Mexican atmosphere and the colorful interior and hidden courtyards.

Almeno quanto me. Gallerie d’arte. Atmosfere messicane e cortili dagli interni vivaci e nascosti.
After 25 days on the road I’m back. Not yet at home, but in front of my Mac in a cafe in Toronto. It’s time to resume where I left. From Santa Fe in New Mexico.
Even if I’ve stopped writing here, I continued to write down and took pictures of everything. A ‘taccuino’ and a pen become indispensable travel companions.
And those notes, a few days away, seem a movie or a book. The trip, that I’ve always wanted to do, has been so rich in places, people and emotions that I can’t wait to write again about it.
