entering in Alice’s wonderland…

…Moschino Maison Hotel in Milan. I sometimes wish I was not born in Milan, just to have an excuse to go to sleep at this stunning hotel :-). Sleeping is a dream, fashion is the king. It’s definitely like living in Lewis Carroll’s fairy theme, in a world of surrealism and imagination. When you enter the door you immediately fall down the rabbit hole: you could expect the unexpected – you can find the stairs  surrounded by  clouds, the occasional teacup table, the forest bedpost, and a rose petal-covered bedspread.

65 contemporary hotel rooms and junior suites inspired by a visionary world, imaginative and eccentric, a restaurant and a spa with a sublime atmosphere. The Maison Moschino is in a former railway house near 10 Corso Como, the city’s premium designer emporium, but close to little else. There are several different room designs throughout the hotel: a tribute to the Mad Hatter, a suite with a wall of painted shoe boxes,  Little Red Cap, the Forest  Room but the most basic room  is called “sleeping in a ball gown” where the headboard  looks like the bodice of a red velvet gown on a hanger. The lobby is small and white t charmingly decorated with paper lanterns in the shapes of animals (chickens, French poodles, sheep) floating from the ceiling like clouds.

entrando nel Paese delle Meraviglie di Alice…la Maison Moschino a Milano. Spesso mi sono augurata di non essere nata a Milano per avere la scusa di dormire in questo strepitoso hotel :-). Dormire in un sogno dove la moda è il re. Decisamente è come vivere nel racconto di Lewis Carroll, in un mondo surreale e immaginario. Appena oltrepassi la porta, cadi nel buco del coniglio bianco: ti puoi aspettare l’inaspettato – puoi incontrare scale sono circondate da nuvole di carta illuminate, un tavolo a forma di tazza, letti avvolte da foreste, copriletti coperti di petali rosa. Le 65 camere contemporanee dell’hotel e le junior suite sono ispirate a un mondo visionario, fantasioso e eccentrico, un ristorante e una spa con un’atmosfera sublime. La Maison è situata in una precedente stazione ferroviaria vicino a Corso Como, dove si trovava l’emporium premium dello stilista e vicina a tutto il resto. Nell’hotel ci sono differenti camere: ispirate al Cappellaio Matto, ad Alice, a Cappuccetto rosso, alla Foresta incantata, ma la stanza più economica è la stanza da ballo dove la testata del letto è un vestito da ballo appunto. La lobby dell’hotel è bianca con lampade a forma di animali.
