Talking aesthetic: interview with Marina_minimalista. Style lover from DK

Tired of messy places and noisy mood, I was looking for something quite and pristine. I have found Marina_minimalista’s instagram feed in this special moment of my life where somehing reassuring is all I need.

Her talking is so empowering and let us take the right time to think, mediate and move forward. Let’s sit with a cup of vanilla tea and enjoy her words.

Identikit of a warm minimalistic soul

1. Who were you some years ago?

  • I was a completely different person just few years ago. It’s was through a very difficult period that I discovered myself. I feel blessed to really know the core of myself in such a young age, also being able to close my eyes and know my own values and boundaries.

2. Who are you now?

  • I have learned trough sickness and grief that I’m a strong woman! At properply my lowest point, I decided to get the most out of life — just like that, one thought and I got out of bed. I am the person that I choose to be and I choose to be strong.

3. Who would you like to be in a close future?

  • I want to be exactly who I am today but grow as a person and become more positive in my mind. I stopped setting barriers for myself so I difine my goals and I get there. With positive thoughts I believe that you are already halfway.

Talking aesthetic: what’s your point of view

4. How would you describe your aesthethic?

  • My aesthetics are minimalistic, clean and I would say controlled. I started up my feed when I was in a difficult situation and it gave me some sort of control. I could match my feed perfectly in tones and add my own minimalistic touch. In the beginning it was therapeutic for me.

5. How do you build your imagenery world?

  • I would remove any “blockers” from peoples head. We are all able to achieve wonderful things when we think positive. For myself, I work with this every day and I can see how much better my own life has become by letting go of negative thoughts, focus on the good and leaving those behind who don’t give good energy or any positive impact.

6. Who are you looking for when you think and then create your photos?

  • At one point I was thinking to leave my minimalistic style and go with a more Parisian vibe. There are probably more followers to find with Parisian or outfit accounts but this feed is really for me and I share it with people that like these kind of aesthetics. So you can say that I’m looking for myself when I create these photos.

7. Where do you look for inspiration?

  • I of course get inspiration from instagram but mostly it just comes to me naturally. I have an item that looks perfect minimalistic or the light in my living room is so lovely that I have to take a picture. I don’t post everyday because quality is more important to me.

About success, sustainability and super power

8. What’s your idea of success, either in Instagram or real life?

  • Succes for me is being happy with my life and the things that I’m doing right now. Not to have stress but enjoy the company of the people I love the most. You are responsible for your own happiness, so if you are not happy then take a deep introprespect and make the change!

9. Do you think sustainability could be either aesthetic or ethic? A fulfill way to respect life.

  • I think minimalism and sustainability are closely related. I would not say that I think-in sustainability in my everyday life but I believe that minimalism is a great way to help the environment — and yourself, in today’s throw-away culture.

10. If you could choose a super power, which one would it be and to do what?

  • The power to let every single person realize how awesome they are. I think that there is kindness in all people and that everyone has something extraordinary to offer, they just have to find it. To have the strength to be soneone or do something good to others is a natural super power in today’s world.
