After three days spent in the soft and nebula atmosphere of Las Vegas we were on the road again.
Driving to California…yuppie
❣❣❣
Dopo tre giorni nell’atmosfera ovattata e nebulosa di Las Vegas ci siamo rimessi in viaggio.
La Jolla
La Jolla
A five hour drive separated us from San Diego. I’ve dreamt several times to go there. Imagined the ocean and the endless golden beach. But I had no idea how it really was.
La Jolla where sea lions never stop cheating. On the rocks, the pelicans seem motionless sculptures. The gulls and cliffs overlook the sea.
On the opposite side Mission Bay where dolphins play almost on the shore, the cabins of the Californian movies stand like a totem and promenade is made for cycling, rollerblading and long walks.
Cute houses with chimneys on the terrace. Because in the evening, with a blanket and the fire, you can stay up all night watching at the Ocean.
Laguna beach – just few km away. Here the landscape becomes wilder. And a sense of belonging to the place push you to fill up your mind and eyes with those places you’ll surely miss once home.
❣❣❣
Sulle rocce i pellicani sembrano sculture immobili.

Wow, beautiful photos! especially the one with the sunset

have a great day!

very beautiful photos! Great job capturing bits of my hometown! 🙂
Hey Ms. So proud of your comment. Were you born in SD? Do you still live there?
Hi! No, I was not born in SD, but have lived here for over 20 years now! It’s a great city! 🙂
I can’t imagine during winter…but Summer time has a great vibe
You captured the Beach of SoCal beautifully, My hometown is LA not San Diego or Orange County but it does bring me back to my favorite beach towns! great series of post!
Hi :D. Oh wow that’s a big compliment from a somehow local…I mean someone who knows those places surely better than me. I’ve started writing about LA – your place. It’s definitely an amazing place, but too far from my European mentality to be understood entirely. Anyway I miss Cal so much
yeah I Imagine it must be so different from Europe really even from most of the us I know people from other US cities that say LA is so different I think it’s because it is so spread out so large it can feel pretty impersonal the population density is so different than most cities certainly European cities I think people in LA are friendly enough but the city as a whole is not so friendly it is easy to feel alone even if you’re from there. I look forward to your post on it
Beautiful photos !!! x

Last month, I went to Manhattan Beach for the first time in California. It was Beautiful. Not the same as the beaches here in Florida. It was cooler and refreshing. A lot of hills. Thanks for sharing these pictures.
Hi Noel! To me, honestly was pretty freezing :). I could’t have a swim in the Ocean. Maybe I have to try with beaches in Florida, next time 🙂
Xoxo
