Gio Ponti tiles. The Amalfi coast has never been so close
27 new tiles and 4 decor. All painted in blue and its many nuances. All in size 20×20 and hand painted.
Give a 20×20 square to someone, and although all the centuries have been indulged with endless designs, there is always room for a new design, for your design, there will never be the latest design.
Ceramiche De Maio proposes these tiles designed Gio Ponti. The architect who built the Hotel Parco dei Principi in Sorrento (the first design hotel) in 1962.
Gio Ponti tiles, when design realizes a dream
The typical tones of a vacation spot. Beauty that hits you when you’re in magical places. The ability to bring something besides the memories home. Infinity Blue is on an exhibition at Triennale. A collection of tiles with a high decorative power. Not only. These tiles have the ability to create environments inspired by the blue of the Amalfi Coast’s sea to our house.
A unique designer for a project that has made history. Everything in Gio Ponti tiles
Gio Ponti, whose activity has contributed to confirm Italian design in the twenties and thirties, worked for Richard Ginori. He also won the “Grand Prix” International Exposition of Decorative and Industrial Arts Exhibition in Paris in 1925 and was the director of Domus and Casabella.
The Blu ponti project is therefore a unique tribute to a great master. Then design, architecture and ability to continue to innovate and look forward.
“You learn things made by hand. Nothing that is not in the hands first.
Learn, the architect, from the workman how to love the craft:
it is nice to do it to do it.
Art for art is there,
It is not in a form of art without content,
but in the happiness of it.”
Gio Ponti
