Finalmente il vero viaggio sulla strada è iniziato…il mio sogno Americano si è acceso…guidare attraverso la Route 66, la madre di tutte le strade
We left Chicago at 12 a.m. and started to drive 300 miles to the South. Almost immediately the first brown signs of the historic route appear. The route has many detours. Fiberglass Statue, oils stations, car and trucks storages. Villages with single-family homes. Lot of green and sun. First stop Springfield – a city entirely devoted to Lincoln. A popular festival and a very long sleep. Now I am ready to leave again.

Abbiamo lasciato Chicago alle 12 a.m. e iniziato a guidare per 300 miglia verso Sud (circa 5 ore). Immediamente sono comparsi i primi cartelli marroni della rotta storica. Il percorso ha molte deviazioni. Statue in vetro resina, stazioni di rifornimento e depositi di camion. Villaggi con case unifamiliari. Tanto verde e sole. Prima tappa Springfield – una città interamente dedicata a Lincoln. Una festa popolare e una lunghissima dormita. Ora sono pronta per ripartire
