surfing not only the wave of fashion

I know it’s quite early to talk about summer holidays, but it is definitely a good way to go on smartly with the day and to look at the future with great enthusiasm! (I have to say sorry for the levity of my post since a part of Italy  is shaking from the earthquake). At the end of July I’m attending my first real course of surfing … please pay attention, I said ‘surf’, and it means only me, a table and the sea . Being a beginner, I had only few lessons near Rome last autumn, I have decided not to go to any intercontinental locations. California or Hawaii is better to reserve for the future
if the passion is taking roots. Super-fashionable place as Biarritz I thought to avoid right now…,so I’m going to the more friendly and perhaps less demanding Spain, in Cadiz, near the Strait of Gibraltar. This sport has always  fascinated me, I must admit also for girl’s & guy’s outfit and look, for the beautiful beaches, for the contact with nature and the carefree moments that characterize it. However, I never thought that famous fashion brands like Chanel and Givenchy were so aware of  it. If you look at the images below it will be clear what I mean. Surfing is incredibly fashionable further then being so cool, could you guess it?? To buy a surfboard from Chanel is quite hard, but perhaps a Victoria Secret’s one in the future could be a possibility. Is there any surfer among you guys?? What do you think of the surfer trend? Would you wear it only to go to the beach and happily take the sun? If you have, any special recommendations, please do not hesitate…I need them… Surfing now will be in my mind at least for the rest of the day! baci
E’ un pò presto per parlare di vacanze estive, lo so, ma è sicuramente un buon modo per affrontare bene la giornata e per guardare al futuro con più entusiasmo!!! (chiedo scusa per la frivolezza del post dal momento che parte dell’Italia è scossa dal terremoto). A fine luglio andrò a fare il mio primo corso vero e proprio di surf…badate bene ho detto surf… quindi solo io, una tavola e il mare. Essendo alle primissime armi, ho fatto per ora solo qualche lezione vicino Roma l’autunno scorso, non andrò in nessuna località intercontinentale. California e Hawaii me le riservo per il futuro se la passione prende piede. Località super in voga e fashion come Biarritz meglio non sprecarle adesso. Ho deciso quindi di andare nella più amichevole e forse meno impegnativa Spagna, a Cadice, vicino lo stretto di Gibilterra. Questo sport mi ha sepre affascinato, devo ammettere anche per gli outfit, le spiagge, il contatto con la natura e i momenti spensierati che lo caratterizzano. Nonostante questo non avrei mai immaginato che anche case di moda famose come Chanel o Givenchy fossero così sensibilizzate sull’argomento. Vi basterà guardare le immagini che seguono per capire cosa intendo. Il surf è incredibilmente fashion oltre che essere così cool, lo avreste mai detto??? Indubbiamente una tavola di Chanel è ancora una volta troppo impegnativa, ma magari a una di Victoria Secret’s in futuro ci si può pensare. Fra di voi c’è qualche surfista??? Che ne pensate di questo trend, anche solo per andare in spiaggia e prendere beatamente il sole? Se avete, soprattutto consigli, mi raccomando non esitate che ne ho bisogno…’surfing in my mind’ almeno per il resto del giorno! baciii
