Stripes or Polka dots?…with a touch of stars

Talking about style I’m usually quite well oriented and sure … but when the matter is prints and patterns… well, I have not clear in my mind the solution. Polka dots or stripes, what do I prefer?!?! If it were true that the polka dots reminiscent of a ’50s atmosphere, while the strips a sort of ‘sailor style’ it would be pretty easy to choose. In fact nowadays both textures have become so graphic that the choice is just a matter of taste. What do you think? Do you see yourself dressed with polka dots or stripes? Nevertheless to confuse the ideas even more I have added some examples of printings with stars – a very contemporary version of the vintage polka dots. xxx

Strisce o pois?…con un tocco di stelle. Per quanto riguarda lo stile solitamente sono abbastanza decisa…ma quando parliamo di stampe e pattern…mmm allora non ho proprio le idee chiare. Tra pois e strisce chi preferire? Se fosse vero che i polka dots rimandano a una atmosfera anni ’50 mentre le strisce a uno stile più marinaio sarebbe abbastanza facile scegliere. In realtà ormai entrambe le texture sono diventate talmente grafiche che la scelta risulta solo una questione di gusto. Voi cosa ne pensate? Come vi vedete a pois o a strisce? Ah per confondere ancora di più le idee ho aggiunto qualche esempio di pattern con stelle – una variante molto contemporanea del vintage pois. xxx

a Fashion chaos all around

The title tells the truth and the post has a spontaneous origin because I’m really in a fashion trouble …tomorrow I’m leaving for Milan where the week of ” Salone del mobile” is starting from today to Sunday the 22nd. It is mostly devoted to Design: not only new ideas, projects, concepts and furniture, but also new fabrics, wall papers, ceramics and whatever is related to Interiors. As you know many famous stylists have their own collection…this time I’ve been so lucky to partecipate to some cocktails where new collection will be launched, but honestly I don’t know what to wear. Conditions are particularly difficult. It’s Spring but It’s cold and grey, everything is at 7 p.m. but it’s certainly elegant. My place is a mess, shoes and dresses everywhere…I’ll show you something. If you have any suggestions, I will be so happy to hear your opinion that for me count a lot !!!!

un caos di moda dappertutto. Il titolo dice proprio la verità e il post è nato spontaneamente perché sono seriamente in un “guaio fashion”…domani parto per Milano dove c’è la settimana del salone del mobile che comincia oggi fino a domenica. E’ principalmente dedicata al Design: non solo nuove idee, progetti concept innovativi e arredi, ma anche tessuti, carte da parati, ceramica e tutto ciò che riguarda gli interni. Come sicuramente sapete molti famosi stilisti adesso hanno la loro collezione casa…questa volta sono stata così fortunata da poter partecipare a un paio di cocktail dove nuove collezioni vengono lanciate, ma onestamente non so esattamente cosa indossare. Credo che le condizioni siano particolarmente complicate. E’ primavera, ma fa freddo ed è grigio. L’orario è alle 7pm ma tutto è sicuramente elegante. La mia casa è un completo disordine con scarpe e vestiti ovunque. Qui ve ne fotografo qualcuno. Se avete qualche suggerimento, ci tengo a sentire la vostra opinione che per me conta davvero tanto! xxx
