Raffaella Curiel for Altaroma invites us into her garden

Being a spectator at a Raffaella Curiel‘s fashion show means retracing a piece of Fashion history. The elegance of her clothes speaks an ancient language, but also one that looks for new inspiration, collection after collection.

The key to continue being creative is to wander in life. Don’t get tired of simple things, but continue to wander, looking for inspiration..be it in front of a kiosk, a flower garden or a spectacle of nature.

My garden” is the starting point of the last Spring \ Summer collection showcased during Altaroma last edition. And we have entered into that garden.

Raffaella Curiel for Altaroma and the green inspiration

A partly classical garden, made of floral prints that bloom on medium-length dresses and co-ordinated jackets. A more exotic natural one with tropical-inspired leaves that together define long dresses with different shades of green. The green grass, forest green, military ones and the golden threads that define the plots of those leaves. Leaves sometimes are left in real size and some others are taken apart, sewn back together and let sharp cut in 1: 1 scale on decollete and hems.

Refined workmanship for Raffaella Curiel for Altaroma

The types of dresses are all there. Cocktail ones, down to the knee, with embroidery and graphics rendering vegetation on tulle combined with petal hem jackets; suits for breakfast re-interpreted in an unusual combination of red and green; long dresses with uncommon fabrics and unexpected details. As the bustier made as a wooden basket decorated with red poppies or the jacket in natural fabrics. Everything is inspired by nature. Without any doubt or hesitation. In the typical shapes and simple elements that are turned into precious embroideries that sometimes get lost in a complex pattern mingling with the linings of jackets in geometric prints or growing in the showy hats designed as botanical sculptures.

Nothing is obvious, everything is blooming.
