Python trend, it is a bitter truth and hurts almost just talking about it. Although inspired by nature, to the tropical jungle and exotic places, this fashion python trend could certainly not be considered a #greeninspiration.
Python trend it is not just a matter of animal free
Well, we all have leather shoes and bags in our closet, but when it comes to python, crocodile and ostrich I think we are a step further. These kind of leathers are the so-called luxury leathers and have a very beautiful texture by nature, the one of the animal to which they belong.
That strange urge for Python trend
We see it almost anywhere. Gucci proposed it, as always but slightly revised, in his first catwalk with a boot that has the heel and toe covered in neutral color python; Gianvito Rossi proposes medium heel ankle boots versions and Mango has a strictly low cost version – that for 39.90 euros let you be fashionable?!?
Where does this crazy Python trend come from?
The first time it really hit me was in the streets of Milan, in Via Torino at the feet of a girl who was wearing these ankle boots in neutral python with a pair of 5 den black stockings, a black shorts and a model frock jacket. The walk was fair and firm and the complex was very appealing – accessory definitely made the difference.
From that moment began an #ilike idea has started to creep in my mind, but, “I like it because it is beautiful or I just like it and that’s mean it is beautifule” ??? – Always to use a Suzy Menke’s quote.
The phyton trend has been over showed during Milan Fashion Week especially for bags.
While Veneziani bags in python with fluorescent gradation were combined with emerald green skin and innovative versions of backpacks, bags for the modern woman who is somethig more like a career girl; Bianchi & Nardi had night variations, almost inspired by 80’s disco colors that remotely traced back to the primary inspiration: rainforest.
So I decided to conclude that since the version in faux leather with faux wood heel by Mango, creates a faux idea of style and that the others do not marry my idea of ethics with the one of aesthetics, let’s leave python as a fashion trend that I hope is, like all fashion trends, destined to come and go.

Gorgeous bags, shoes…
yes, I get it, there is a consequence. I respect your opinion and this is an important topic, but fast fashion, main mainly of chemicals that ends up in landfill is no answer either. Vintage exotics are my choice, in faux and real, they will be treasured and passed on, and hopefully were made when these animals were not extinct.
Fabulous images!!!!
