Friendship is fashionable

Friendship, a word that should be handled with care. But did you ever wonder how many types are there? At this point someone might begin to list: friendship between colleagues, since we were children, between women and men, among women. Aristotle instead has defined three types: one based on profit, one on pleasure and one on virtue. I fear that all of these arguments are wrong at the start, as a syllogism.

Friendship, handle with care

No matter if times change, if there are social networks and if we are pestered by requests, messages and comments of virtual friends. Where it took ages, years ago, now takes less than a week to get more of than 150 friends, considered the perfect number from a philosopher I can not remember the name. Despite of all, for someone continues to be an absolute value. One of those values there is only one definition for, and that it is impossible to imagine neither the label nor the instructions for use. Sometimes it happens by accident – a lucky break – and unwittingly, like love – more or less. It is something that we can’t certainly force. The friendship is fashionable when you can not catalog it. It is a mood, a tune, an elective affinity.

Does anyone think that in a competitive and severe world as ours, there is room for a similar value, an almost naive concept for someone, as if the risk of giving something is proportional to what we take off ourselves?

If we were in a color film by The Great Gatsby, he will recommend at this point to stop thinking and  “to be stupid, because the best thing in this world, for a girl, is to be a beautiful bimbo“, but we are not like this.

Friendship at the time of fashion bloggers

Some accuse the world of fashion to be superficial. Someone else deems it as competitive and false. Few others may find here the refuge, the “lightness that can save the world” from routine, boredom and why not, ugliness. These shots are born during a fashion affair – a trip made of fashion shows, interviews, meetings, many complaints and a lot of smiles.

Yet these shots show that friendship exists. For me. Accomplices rather than rivals, happy rather than bored, creative and productive rather than dull and static. So next time someone someone tells you that something does not exist or that should not be like that, don’t believe those words because friendship is often imperfect, however,
