Fiorucci and a feeling of freedom was one of the first fashion brand for the generation of the 80’s. His Victorian angels were worn and carried around on bags and T-shirts of young Italians, too young to go to London, but clever enough to understand that Elio Fiorucci proposed something different.
“The Fighter of democratic fashion” (Corriere della Sera), Andy Warhol and Jean Michel Basquiat‘s friend, the man who led the avanguard of Carnaby Street, to our traditionalist Italy.
“People always told me they loved Fiorucci’s store because it was a place where they felt loved, where there were music, beautiful girls. A therapy of love. Today I will continue to say that being nice is a duty for all of us. You can do things for love“.
The love theraphy is the way Elio Fiorucci reinvents himself and continues to leave a message in the world. And when everyone becomes aggressive, acidic and seem to prefer the attitude of the bad girl, he fills the world of dwarves and hearts, love and peace.
The king of freestyle has never definitive himself a designer. He has collected objects, experiences, emotions and sensations. He has always brought everything with him and kept in his stores, selling it to the public and giving us the opportunity to develop our idea of style.
If you were to look for a character in fashion world that has a strong charisma, an innovative spirit and the eclectic and eccentric attitude, that not only aims to impress, but also to experiment and innovate, keep on thinking about Fiorucci, the man, before than his brand, is the only option. The power of a man who is going to last. It was just two days ago when many young people have decided to go out wearing Fiorucci’s t-shirts of the late 90’s as their last tribute to a man who meant a lot.
And to a free spirit from whom you can learn a life lesson that reminds us to be ourselves, I dedicate these photos whose only idea is that flavor of freedom, freshness of mind and lightheartedness that only close to the sea, I’m able to feel.

Fiorucci does have such an elegant yet simple design. I love the shot where you’re standing against the yellow wall and I’ve pinned it to my Photo Shoots board on Pinterest
