The Unbearable Lightness of Being is the title of a novel written in 1982, but it is the first phrase that came to mind reflecting on the Haute Couture four days in Rome, which ended yesterday with what should be a gateway to the future with the new talents. Kundera in the book speaks of the futility of choices and actions that are done in the short lifespan. He considers them irrelevant in the general project of life, because they are often done with lightness. Lightweight and extremely superficial can be considered what Ms. Sozzani said before proclaiming the winner of the contest “who is on next?“.
“The price of liberty is the good sense of all existence” – freedom of speech, of action, of being different, of not obeying prepackaged rules and concepts, the right to look for the life and the work you would like.
Uncomfortable concept for those at the top of power, annoying for those who prefer to control rather than dialogue, challenging and even risky for those who chose not to bend.
“Learning how to do things in an extraordinary way, focus on quality and excellence” – this is the only way that we have to go, the rest are unnecessary distractions, superficial loss of time that we move away from the ultimate goal.
“It was the vertigo. The numbing, overwhelming desire to fall. The vertigo we could also call it intoxication of weakness. We become aware of their own weakness and instead of resisting it, you want to abandon it” – Milan Kundera.

In love with this book, still one of the best and a receommended read as always. Indeed, nothing is of prime importance in human hierarchy but the need for liberty in al spectrums. I love the first picture, it just shows how much you’re yearning to and it perfectly encapsulates the essence of being free. Lovely post and you look gorgeous..
Take care and have a great week!
