From Valentino Fall \ Winter 2010 fashion show, five seasons have passed.
Still today, the shoes with a rock soul, a bit elegant “lady like” and a bit brazen “bad girl”, are still on the top of the charts of the IT shoes and on the feet of fashionistas around half of the world.
Not only IT shoes, it’s appropriate to shout out and wonder if the success, with this slight change, was in the air of the Valentino maison, five years ago.
Who knows if the two artistic duo, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, knew exactly what they were doing when they designed the Rockstud, adding a young rebellious note to the classic and elegant spirit that has always distinguished the king of the Red and ruffles .
A digital romanticism. A dark innocence. A woman candid and shadowy. Fine, unpredictable, elusive and full of mystery.
This is the first woman that wore on the runway the Rockstud, this is the woman that Valentino has started imaging.
It’s not a coincidence that the stiletto from the tip just mentioned, it is enriched with ankle straps and pointed studs.
A contemporary mood intended to define a new concept of elegance.
The name IT shoes might seem simplistic, for a pair of shoes that is confirming itself season after season, and and that is suitable for any outfit.
From the boyfriend jeans – torn, ruined, over washed – to the skirt inspired by the 50’s. From skinny pants up to mini dresses, with a bonton attitude. From coulottes to the most romantic of wedding gowns made of lace and tulle.
The Valentino Rockstud have borrowed typical luggage elements and added a rebellious and rocker attitude to a classic shoe.
6.5 cm and 10 heel together with the dancers completely flat.
When intuition is likely to be a winning idea, there is always someone who has looked in a new way, something old.
