Halfway between the surreal Eastern mysticism and the sophisticated English pragmatism.
At number 37, Via Ripa di porta Ticinese, a typical ‘di ringhiera’ apartment has turned into a small temporary museum where Keiko Nishiyama showed her A\W 2015 collection, for the first time in Italy, during the Milan Fashion Week.

Each piece is literally a true work of art. All of the prints, inspired by the natural world, are hybrid creatures, birds mingle with invented floral species.

Each print is hand-drawn by the young designer, then digitized.

It thus, a typically Oriental shape as a kimono is combined with English fabrics like tweed, becoming elements something in – between a coat and a trench coat.

Illusions and mysteries wrap all over printed leggings, decors of shirt collars, chemisiers and details on midi skirts.

Japan is present in every garment, with that immense composure and elegance made of respect and love for beauty; London Fashion studies influence guarantees the contemporary and  urban attitude that makes this collection wearable in many different combinations.

The prints create illusions and mysteries that rearrange and reposition hybrid bird creatures, which give a feeling of a walking volière”.
