Rolex, the time is now

I’ve never had a good relationship with clocks. Not only I dislike the whole concept of time. The scan time, the inexorable passage of seconds, minutes and hours that become years. I don’t want to be too ‘heavy’ and slip into existential questions, but honestly I prefer not to schedule too much.

By the way, an object that is much more than a clock does exist. It is something that goes further to just a time measuring.
The first time I saw it was on my mom’s wrist. Small, lightweight, all made of steel with a blue dial.
It was a gift from my father and it was a Rolex, of course.

The rolex is perhaps what someone might call a status symbol, but I prefer to identify it with an object that, in more than 100 years, has continued to prove its undisputed quality and precision.

When it was born, in 1905, Hans Wilsdorf had in mind one thing: to invent a “timepiece that could be worn on the wrist.”

Over the years, this clock has become increasingly glamorous becoming an object of desire rather than a way to be on time.

My favorite, right now, are large sized, even for women. With the white or pink dial. Maybe enriched with light points.

Wear it alone or with cascades of bracelets that could never overshadow the beauty.

Certainly a rolex is forever, but it is a luxury not easily available to everyone.

So, if time is money, should I buy a Rolex???
