The image that connects the plaid shirt to pic – nic and grandmother’s table cloths is now far away in time. This print has made its entry into the world of fashion and in the wardrobe of majority of us a long time ago now. In the form of shirts, coats, skirts and scarves huge and cocooning as real plaid. Tartan more than many other speaks about warm feelings. Mountain landscapes, the fire burning and a glass of red wine. A familiar and reassuring mood that we like to take with us when we find ourselves immersed in the sounds and noises of the city.

I never get tired of neither wearing it nor writing about it. I love the grunge chic style, suitable for all those occasions when you don’t want to get unnoticed without being too eccentric.

A cloudy day in Venice, the fabulous Gardens of the Biennale and their perfect autumn colors and foliage make it stand out the more classic among plaid prints even more. Red and black for a maxi shirt and a pair of leggings worn with boots above the knee and a silver trench coat.

Every time I look at the pictures of the places I have been I want to pack my bags and leave again immediately. The sun always shines when I’m traveling.
