And this is their third time on the runway and since the very beginning, when lights were still off, it was pretty clear that #solocosebelle (onlybeautifulthings) were going to happen. In the first row of the central sector of the Theater at Lincoln Center Olivia Palermo and Rosario Dawson sit smiling at photographers and curious guests… and this was just the beginning.

Who is going to open the fashion show? Nothing less important than the most famous of all earthly angels, Adriana Lima.

I already knew she was chosen as the face of the Spanish multidesign chain, but I would have never imagined to see her in person once in a lifetime.

Halfway between a super model of the 90’ s and the next door girl, with a bouquet of flowers in her hair, a fierce walk, a winking and smiling look and such a solar vibe, the Brazilian model seemed to be the perfect synthesis of this collection. The crown of flowers and the smile are the leif motif of all the “Say something nice” show.

And this collection is all a matter of flowers: hibiscus, daisies, roses and dahlias that become prints in acid colors on dark backgrounds.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Desigual has chosen New York City to assert its casual and light pret a porter, being noted for its positive charge of optimism among the most rigorous and minimal brands .

But even on this topic there are some small news. Its woman is a cosmopolitan traveller who takes inspirations from her travels around the world. So, in addition to the brand’s typical jersey dresses, colored coats and long tunics appear extremely feminine and light suits. Wrap skirts and blouses for an everyday style wearable outside the holiday context.

And so we just have to congratulate with Jess Monterde and Christian Lacroix and all of the designers for their ability to spread joy with style.

E’ la sua terza volta in passerella e a luci spente già si capisce che succederanno #solocosebelle. In prima fila nel settore centrale del teatro del Lincoln Center arrivano Olivia Palermo e Rosario Dawson…e questo è solo l’inizio.

Ad aprire la sfilata, il più famoso tra gli angeli terreni, Adriana Lima.

Che era stata scelta come testimonial della catena multidesigner spagnola lo sapevo, ma che l’avrei vista da vicino, una volta nella vita, non lo avrei mai immaginato.

A metà strada tra una super model degli anni ’90 e una ragazza della porta accanto, certo bellissima.

Con un bouquet di fiori tra i capelli, una camminata decisa, lo sguardo ammiccante e sorridente e tanta solarità, la modella brasiliana sembra la sintesi perfetta di questa collezione.

E’ tutta una questione di fiori: ibiscus, margherite, rose e dalie che diventano stampe dai colori acidi su fondi scuri.

Non credo sia un caso che Desigual abbia scelto proprio New York City per affermare il suo quantomai casual e leggero pret a porter, facendosi notare, per la sua carica di positivo ottimismo, tra i numerosi brand più rigorosi e minimali.

Ma anche in questo c’è qualche piccola novità. Accanto ai vestiti in jersey tipici del brand, i cappotti over colored e le tuniche lunghe compaiono completi estremamente femminili. Gonne a portafoglio e camicette leggere per uno stile che rimane poco impegnato, ma portabile anche fuori da un contesto vacanziero.

E non ci resta che fare i complimenti a Christian Lacroix e agli altri designer per la loro capacità di diffondere allegria con stile.
