Luis Antonio SS15 divas from Portorico

If there is something that excites me as much as attending shows of my favorite designers is participating in the debut catwalk of someone who has finally put his name on the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week calendar.

This is actually not the first time that Luis Antonio step into the glittered world of fashion , he has actually been walking proudly on it for the least twenty years and let me say, paraphrasing the Black Eyed Pies, that since the first dress appeared “I got the feeling That tonight’s gonna be a good good show.”

“Inspired by the ocean, the coast and my Island Puerto Rico” , he has designed everything from clothes to shoes and even the prints, “I did everything to keep all under control, even the smallest detail,” said Luis in the backstage.

Se c’è qualcosa che mi entusiasma tanto quanto vedere lo show di uno stilista che adoro è partecipare al debutto di passerella di chi sta finalmente ha finalmente inserito il suo nome in calendario.

Questa la prima volta di Luis Antonio che in realtà nel mondo della moda ci cammina da almeno  venti anni e devo dire, parafrasando i Black Eyed Pies, che già dal primo abito “I got the feeling that tonight gonna be a good show”.

“Ispirata all’Oceano, alla costa e alla sua Isola Portorico”…Ha disegnato tutto dagli abiti, alle scarpe e anche le stampe, “Ho fatto tutto io per tenere sotto controllo anche il minimo dettaglio”, afferma Luis nel backstage.

As urban divas, the models with hair collected in a low ponytail and red lips, showing off the Parisian allure of combing hair with closed eyes in order to look so natural and fresh, wear tailored clothes and bright colors.

Come delle dive urbane e contemporanee, le modelle con i capelli semi raccolti in una coda bassa e le labbra rosse, ostentando quella allure tutta parigina del mi pettino ad occhi chiusi perché sono così al naturale, indossano abiti dai tagli sartoriali e dai colori accesi.

A show in three acts.

The one of blue and red that enlighten the eyes of all of the guests and put the color on midi skirts, flared or skaters ones with graphic prints or striped.

But just when the colors and the energy of South America have exploded under the spotlight of one of the halls of Lincoln Center we are fascinated by the refined delicacy of cocktail dresses,  “la crème de la crème”, one color and embellished with embroidery and glittering decorations.

And so we pass from an easy chic attitude, fresh and cheerful as just going off a yacht into a super cool minimal and cultured soul, a romantic girly girl not at all trivial, but absolutely captivating.

The last set is a series of darker clothes, complete with lamé or more frivolous ruffles.

And so Bravo Mr. Antonio, this is definitely a good start.

Uno spettacolo in  tre atti.

Quello del blu e il rosso che accende gli sguardi dei numerosi invitati e colora le gonne midi, svasate o lunghe, con stampe a strisce o grafiche.

Ma proprio quando i colori e  l’energia del Sud America sono esplosi sotto ai riflettori di una delle sale del Lincoln Center veniamo come ammaliati dalla delicatezza raffinata dei vestiti da cocktail che sono “la crème de la crème“, monotono e impreziositi da ricami e decori luccicanti.

E così passiamo dall’attitudine easy chic, fresca e allegra come appena scesi da uno yacht a un’anima più minimale e colta, a un romanticismo girly girl per niente banale, ma assolutamente accattivante.

L’ultimo set propone degli abiti scuri, completi in lamé o più frivole rouches.

E quindi Bravo Mr Antonio, questo è decisamente un buon inizio.
