Fill walls with your printed photos

“There’s no place like home” – ho letto da qualche parte una volta.

La casa è il luogo più intimo e segreto, il quotidiano punto di partenza e di arrivo.
Ci sono giorni in cui usciamo di fretta, correndo tra le scarpe e i vestiti abbandonati sul divano, e giorni come questo invece, in cui ho il tempo di pensare e prendere appunti sulla casa che vorrei.

Il contenitore della mia casa è uno spazio neutro con le pareti bianche, il pavimento di legno chiaro a doghe lunghe e grezze, le finestre ampie e le tende di cotone che lasciano intravedere il verde all’esterno e filtrano la luce con discrezione e leggerezza.

Il contenuto è tutto il mio mondo. E ci sono le ceste di vimini per i giornali e gli asciugamani. Il profumo di lavanda. I cuscini stampati come un giardino tropicale. Il divano con il plaid a portata di mano anche se estate. Le tazze per l’infuso alla cannella e i  libri, di moda e architettura, sparsi ovunque a sorreggere lampade come comodini.

Ma quello che vorrei non mancasse mai nella mia casa sono le foto. In bianco e nero appoggiate a terra come in attesa di essere appese al muro; a colori come collage dietro il tavolino dell’ingresso dove convivono le chiavi, i libri, i fiori e gli appunti di viaggi fatti e da fare.

Vorrei che una foto gigante come un poster nella parete sopra la vasca mi ricordasse chi sono e che il mio studio sia tappezzato di tante immagini quadrate come polaroid, istantanee di vita vissuta, come forma di ispirazione.

A volte basta solo pensare e aspettare che tutto ciò che avevi immaginato bussi alla tua porta grazie a servizi di stampa online come cewe.

“There’s no place like home” – I read somewhere once.

Your home is the most intimate and secret place, the daily point of departure and arrival.
There are days when we get out in a hurry, running between the shoes and clothes abandoned on the couch and days like this, when I have time to think and take notes on the house I want.

The container of my house is a neutral space with white walls, clear long and rough wooden floor slats, large windows and cotton curtains that filter light with discretion and lightness, revealing the green outside.

The content is my whole world. And there are straw baskets for newspapers and towels. The scent of lavender. The pillows printed as a tropical garden. The sofa with a plaid on it even though it’s summer. The hand-painted cups for the cinnamon-infusion  and my books scattered everywhere to hold up lamps.

What could never miss in my place are photos. Black and white resting on the ground as if they are waiting to be hung on the wall; in color behind the table at the entrance where keys, books, flowers and notes of journeys done or to do live together.

I would like a giant picture on the wall above the tub reminding me of who I am and my studio couldn’t look better with many squared images as Polaroid snapshots of real life, as a form of inspiration.
