And then, one day, I got lost in his photos .
Wrapped up in an ethereal and timeless atmosphere. Transported into a magical world. With eyes that change color with the emotion that only a fairy tale or a moment that stops time and space can bring, I’ve started looking at Oleg Oprisco‘s photos.
“Create + Desire ” is his slogan.
Every picture is a poem and I couldn’t feel allowed to take it without any permission for my article, so I’ve decided to write to him. He answered immediately that I could take all the photos from his website and the words from the interviews.
And here I am, trying to describe what struck me the most, reading between his words and watching his enchanting shots.
I’ve always thought that one of the values of a photo is the power to stop time in one click; that’s what he said too, adding the ability to provide your own version of reality.
And his reality can not fail to delight. Muffled, filtered, always on the edge of a surreal situation although it is made of real objects, places and things.
His sensitivity in depicting Nature in photographs makes his work an incredible example and source of inspiration to me.
Hundreds of flowers which replace or complement the hair style of a model; a lawn, ideally painted on a boundless field, a forest transformed into an open-air room where eight flavor vintage suitcases are the place where a young woman is sit to meditate – and I wonder how many times we did the same in our room before packing.
But this was not his start. He has been working for years in the ” reality mode ” as he calls it – including weddings and all sorts of events, learning what colors people like and using them in his current works .
And I really have hard time to stop dreaming with his photos and being catapulted into hundreds of places and situations I’d like to live in. A house in the middle of the lake. Hundreds of butterflies going out from a book. A carpet made of grass. Huge bundles of flowers and Pucca’s cable cars. My only doll since I was an adult, and I suddenly become a child again. This is the only downside I can find. In his photos often something gets confused and real people have in their hands the colors of Nature and on their bodies the aspect of living “green” in a symbolic \ iconic continuity between man and nature.

Absolutely breathtaking – The way he plays with propositions is absolutely beautiful. So unique and dramatic!
Those pictures are amazing! I can get lost in them for hours if not for days. Those pictures definitely stops time and the words beautiful and stunning just can’t justify what I feel when I’m looking at them. Thanks for sharing xx
