The time of magic, surprise, affection and light. The time of children waiting for Santa Claus, the time of those who are adults but return a child forgetting the day they were told that Santa Claus did not exist.

The time of family and true friends. Of houses full of lights , colors, glitter and decorations. Mistletoe and hugs, of red and green to fulfill eyes and heart. Silver cutlery on white linen tablecloths. Crystal glasses and “bubbles” at all hours of the day because it’s always the right time for a toast. Of the word “best wishes” to fill the mouth, sms and what’s up all around the world .

The time to remember only the good things of life, to leave behind the everyday’s ones and put under the tree dreams and hopes.

Christmas Day has passed, but there is still time. To watch a movie on the couch wrapped in a duvet at 4 pm, to listen to American songs that make Christmas in New York even though we have never been there. To wear that feather skirt and forget that we should wait another year for all this, to happen again .

Il tempo della magia, della sorpresa, dell’affetto e della luce. Il tempo dei bambini che aspettano Santa Claus increduli e di chi è grande e ritorna bambino e lo aspetta lo stesso, dimenticando il giorno in cui qualcuno gli ha detto che Babbo Natale non esisteva. 

Il tempo della famiglia e degli amici veri. Delle case piene di luci, colori, glitter e decorazioni. Del vischio e degli abbracci, che il rosso e il verde non possono mancare in nessuna casa per riempire gli occhi e il cuore. Delle posate di argento sulle tovaglie di lino bianche. Delle bollicine a tutte le ore perché è sempre il momento giusto per brindare. Della parola Auguri che riempie la bocca, gli sms e il what’s up di tutto il mondo.

Il tempo di ricordare solo le cose belle, di lasciarsi alle spalle la vita di tutti i giorni e di mettere sotto l’albero i sogni di oggi.

Il giorno di Natale è passato, ma c’è ancora tempo. Per sentire le canzoni di Natale, per guardare un film sul divano avvolto nel piumone,  per ascoltare le canzoni americane che fanno “Christmas” a New York anche se non ci siamo mai stati. Per indossare quella gonna di piume e dimenticarsi che per tutto questo dovremmo aspettare, poi, un altro anno.
