There is always a fashion reason to be happy

And It is as if winter has finally arrived … suddenly. With its stealthy step. The silence punctuated only by the rain thick and thin. The gray mixed with blue and white as a backdrop to a wet and shiny city. Every shot of Rome, in this atmosphere, could be a painting.
One of the most photogenic cities I’ve ever known. Mine.

E’ come se l’inverno si sia deciso ad arrivare… improvvisamente. Con il suo passo felpato. Il silenzio intervallato solo dalla pioggia fitta e sottile. Il grigio misto al celeste e al bianco che fanno da sfondo ad una città bagnata e lucida. Ogni scatto di Roma in questa atmosfera potrebbe essere un quadro.
Una delle città più fotogeniche che abbia mai conosciuto. La mia.

I like to open all of the curtains and look outside of the windows at the framed views.
The brown and yellow ocher of the old style buildings. The  autumn foliage on the terraces. The lights on that can be seen inside the houses. The noise of the wind.

Today I’m working at home. With a background music. The plaid on my legs. And the light of the candle. I could watch  the still and warm flame for hours. Lucky I’ve been to IKEA on Saturday. So I have many now.

I do not know how this week will be, but I hope that is going to be as quiet and comfortable as this Monday is.

Mi piace aprire le tende e guardare dalle finestre scorci incorniciati.
Il marrone e il giallo ocra dei palazzi in stile. Il foliage autunnale sui terrazzi. Le luci accese che si intravedono dentro le case. E il rumore del vento.

Oggi lavoro a casa. Io. Con una musica in sottofondo. Il plaid sulle gambe. E la luce della candela. Che potrei guardare per ore quella fiamma immobile e calda. Che per fortuna sabato sono stata da IKEA e ho fatto una scorta.

Non so come sarà questa settimana, ma mi auguro che sia tranquilla e confortevole come questo Lunedì.
