this is Halloween to me

 I wish I could light a fire in the fireplace on … now. Although Rome there are 25 ° C (77°f) . I wish I had a pumpkin patch close to my place and fill my car up with the most unusual varieties of pumpkins and foliage. I would like to live in a countryside house from today until Halloween … and paint my porch in clean white… and the door entrance in bold orange … And sweep the leaves -yellow, orange and red – collecting them on the sides. With a broom straw and a sign: “welcome to fairyland ♡”.

We have been starting celebrating Halloween, in Italy, just a few years ago. There were no witches walking at night. Neither treats nor tricks to share. Now something has changed and I can’t wait for this mysterious day. I love the atmosphere. A little bit dark, a touch of meditation and a noir allure. Gloomy and melancholic at the same time.They are not laughing pumpkins that attract me. But the light of the candles shining in soft orange. Not the spectral atmosphere, but a black mask – maybe made of lace – which conceal and hide. The sophisticated makeup and a black silk mantle. The idea of ​​wandering the streets with biker boots and lace stockings.The soup will be on fire very soon and some candies are already in my clutch.
