“Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth” — Oscar Wilde

“L’uomo è meno se stesso quando parla in prima persona. Dategli una maschera e vi dirà la verità” — Oscar Wilde
There are people who always wear a mask. Theirs is not made of lace. Either of velvet or silk. It’s a virtual mask that serves to hide. Themselves to others. It’s a mask that doesn’t make things more beautiful. Not even more fascinating. It’s an invisible mask. When it falls it will leave you naked and alone. Be yourself always rewards. And if you really want to wear one that is made of black lace, wore with a long – black or white – dress and biker boots…
❣❣❣

Ooh, what a pretty post 🙂 When I get married, I want to provide masquerade ball masks…that’ll be so much fun. Your post is definitely giving me some inspiration/ideas.
oh wow that’s a great idea….you should also watch “MariaAntonietta” the film directed by Sofia Coppola where you can find a great masquerade ballet.
I want to see the pics and please share your plans…it should be amazing!
Oooh I’ve always wanted to watch that film. I should soon.
Yes, I’d definitely share my plans when it happens. 🙂
ciao! the best mask is indeed lace…and the ‘lace’ of your blog is most alluring. we should not be left naked when unmasked, if we fear our’ true self’ be revealed. great post.

It’s cute you have caught the hidden meaning…you’ve revealed what is under the mask…only being ourself we can grow and make big things. Thanks a lot for stopping by ❤
Like many of this pictures and the message have a point I think!!! 🙂
The deep message is hidden behind the superficial photos…they both communicate with each other…thanks for stopping by. xxx
You´re welcome!!! 🙂
Interesting post… I’m reminded of Paul Laurence Dunbar’s poem “We Wear the Mask.” Though it’s primarily about racial identity, it also applies to so many aspects of our lives… http://www.potw.org/archive/potw8.html
Oh… And the line in TS Eliot’s “Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” about preparing a face to meet the faces that we meet… http://www.bartleby.com/198/1.html
Hi Marc! Sorry for my late reply, but I wanted to check what you suggested. Great comment and what you wrote inspired me a lot. The TS Eliot’s song made me think a lot. Thanks for sharing…and hope to read from you soon. xxx Happy Monday
E veramente vero. I know people that wear a mask like that. They pretend to be what they’re not. Now a days with this e-mail they will bully you but if they would have to bully you face to face they would not be able to do it. Belle foto!
Great quote, Oscar Wilde always says inspiring things.
Tesoro mio, posti sempre foto meraviglioseeeeeeeee!!!

I enjoyed this post immensely, for its striking visuals and for its “conceal to reveal” theme. I’ve bookmarked this page for future enjoyment. Well done!
