“Nature is a haunted house–but Art–is a house that tries to be haunted.” Emily Dickinson, “The complete Poems”

“La Natura è una casa stregata –ma l’Arte– è una casa che prova ad essere perseguitata”. Emily Dickinson, “The complete Poems”
If you feel unhappy or stressed. Go out. Take the time and go somewhere out there. Look for a place – even within the city – where nature was able to enter. Whatever it is green, flowers, sea or colors. It does not matter. It must be alive. Only then, you will feel everything is as it should be. The simple beauty of nature. The one who inspires. As long as this exists – and it certainly always will – I’m sure there will always be a comfort and an endless source of beauty to be inspired by. I wish your week is going to be full of life.
❣❣❣
Se ti senti infelice o stressato. Esci.

Swoon! Happy Monday & have a great week!
Happy week to you Bella!!!!
hi there, nice post. Your pictures are a interesting mix of fashion with nature. It’s funny, given the theme of – and introduction to- your post, because I always consider fashion to be the “anti-nature” if you know what mean: ( very controlled, very contrived, sometimes artificial even. ) Obviously you love and celebrate fashion, and i respect that (of course!) but I don’t ever consider there’s anything “natural about it (fashion & the fashion industry) – just the opposite in fact. But I do totally agree with your main point, that nature is the comfort and solace and even the solution to most of our everyday problems, endlessly inspiring and redeeming. It’s a shame we aren’t doing more to protect it, as I’m sure you agree, in fact often we seem intent on destroying as much of nature, as fast as we can. 🙁 Anyway, thank you for a very nice post, and I particularly like your choice of the Emily Dickinson quotation. It’s a particularly interesting idea. Good to learn the Italian translation too! “Stregata” was a new word for me! 🙂
I understand your point of view. As a deep lover of fashion – considering it one of the most creative, innovative and satisfying aspect of our society- I’d like to show, here and in general in my blog, how inspiring the natural world is for everything related to beauty. Forms, drawings and color combo are often taken from that world – Lucky!!! This is from an aesthetic point of view. To what concerns fashion industries I can tell you that there is an increasing awareness for “green issue” in terms of fabrics and ways of production. Obviously fashion will probably always be related to luxury and I can understand this aspect can annoy someone. thanks for your comment and for pointing out interesting issues. xxx
hi, and thanks for such a polite and considered response. Yes, i suppose I am one of those people whom the very expensive and luxury aspect of fashion sometimes annoys, (plus I get annoyed by the use- on both the catwalk and the magazine shoots- of the very/too young, very skinny models) But I do totally take your point that many designers and producers are very conscientious and aware, people, and many are working very hard to source materials and to produce clothes in an ethical and sustainable way. I always like your posts by the way, ven though I am “not a fashion person” – I think you bring a fresh approach to the whole area. Keep up the great work. -Arran.
