Looking for an urban style

Worn under a blazer or a black leather jacket. Rock inspired or bon ton. Completely white or gray. With a slogan “pret-a-parler”. The t-shirt is the leader who saves us when the closet confuses us with all its noise.

Sometimes I’m looking for something in an obsessive way, some others I find it by accident. I believe in coincidence and destiny. The words urban and metropolitan definitely describe the style I like. And the first thing I wrote on my facebook profile was a Nietzsche’s quote: “You must have chaos within you, to give birth to a dancing star.”

 I found all this, by chance, one week ago in this brand Kaviar and Cigarettes. These t-shirts are designed  New York, cut and sewn by hand in Los Angeles. And for me that saying NY and LA  – two places so far away from my country and my culture – means art, fashion, creativity and life in two words, I couldn’t avoid writing about it.

Indossata sotto un blazer o una giacca di pelle nera. Di ispirazione rock o bon ton. Totalmente bianca o grigia. Con uno slogan “pret a parler”. La t-shirt è  il capo che ci salva quando l’armadio ci confonde con tutti i suoi rumori.

A volte cerco qualcosa in modo ossessivo, altre volte trovo per caso. Credo nelle coincidenze e nel destino. Le parole urbano e metropolitano sicuramente descrivono lo stile che mi piace. E la prima cosa che ho scritto nel mio profilo facebook è stata una frase di Nietzsche: “Bisogna avere un caos dentro per generare una stella danzante”.

Tutto questo l’ho ritrovato, per caso,  in questo brand Kaviar and Cigarettes. Queste t-shirt sono disegnate a New York, tagliate e cucite a mano a Los Angeles. E per me che dire NY e dire LA – due posti così lontani dal mio Paese e dalla mia cultura- vuol dire arte, moda, creatività e vita tutto in due parole non ho potuto evitare di parlarvene.
