Do you know the story of the Princess and the Pea!?! Once upon a time there was a girl who had to prove to be a real Princess sleeping on a pile of 20 mattresses and 20 featherbeds that at the bottom had a very small pea. Only if she realized that she would have proven to be a real Princess and marry the Prince. This is one of my favorite fairytale and this photo by Tim Walker, with his fabulous and visionary images, inspires my Sunday and reminds me the story. I hope it could make the same with you! ❤

C’era una volta una ragazza che per dimostrare di essere una vera principessa doveva dormire sopra un mucchio di materassi che avevano alla base -a sua insaputa- un piccolissimo pisello. Solo nel caso in cui se ne fosse accorta avrebbe dimostrato di essere veramente una Principessa e sposare il Principe. Questa è una delle mie favole preferite e questa foto di Tim Walker, con le sue immagini sempre fiabesche e visionarie, me la ricorda e ispira la mia domenica. Spero anche la vostra!!! ❤

I love Tim Walker, his work is amazing, I especially love his alice in wonderland shoot! I saw a princess and the pea play once, it was very good!

I am gonna ask a really silly question: did they put a real pin at the bottom of the mattresses too? Just wondering… Lol!
Sure they did! But the princess didn’t know and when the day after asked her how she slept, she answered that she couldn’t because of something hard, that surely bruised her back at the bottom of the bed. 🙂
