I do not know whether it’s because I’ve studied architecture and they always brushed my brain with the concept that symmetry belongs to the Renaissance …. or because I do not prefer simple things … but I must admit I have always had a soft pearl for asymmetrical skirts and dresses . Fortunately, among the most common trends we can find how many we want. What do I like about them? First of all they make the figure dynamic – depending on the point of view your body figure changes- secondly, they are almost made by ultra-light fabrics that can make cool even the simplest among the outfits! In any case “handle with care!!!. Do you agree? or do you prefer the classic and “Renaissance” idea of a skirt?

I prefer disimmetry on top. It’s often rare on the bottom, as if something lacks or there is too much of something.
ciao Miss!!! It’s a long time since we spoke have spoken last time! I like disimmetry on top too, but with jeans or something simple at the bottom! baciii
I love this post! I actually just ordered 2 asymmetrical hi low skirts myself from ASOS. Can’t wait to do an outfits post on them 🙂
well done bella! I’m looking forward to see your outfit!!! 🙂
The first three photos are incredibly elegant! ~S
thanks a lot! I’m so happy you liked!!! baciii
ah ah ah la simmetria è il male!
hehehehe tu sì che puoi capire!!!: -)
I love the one that has a sequin skirt right underneath. The different textures contrasting is an awesome concept. I definitely like this better than regular skirts, even though they have their place.
ciao Girasole! You are definitely right! I love multilayering and I think that this kind of skirt cannot be used at University or at the office…I think it is perfect to go out at night!!!! thanks a lot bellezza!!!
Oh my gracious I love this look on other people but it is NOT for me. I guess I like my asymmetry elsewhere – but if you love the look, I say go for it! 🙂

Bellissimo post Marinella! Anche se appartengo alla scuola opposta. Cioe’ amo la simmetria!! Mi piace il modo in cui leghi l’architettura con la moda e vice versa. Buona notte/giornata!!! Bacio.
Ei Janine, ciao come stai? stai lavorando tanto??? grazie mille, sei sempre super carina. Credo che una facoltà come architettura purtroppo influenza il tuo modo di vivere…nel bene e nel male 🙂
I am so obsessed with this new asymmetrical skirt trend, its much more visually interesting than a regular maxi skirt. I’ve been seeing them all over the streets and now after your post I’m positive that I NEED one of these for myself! Great post!
LOL! i know what you mean :-P1 I need one too! Thank a lot! baciii
Love the black ones – but bottom-line, as long as the skirt flatters your shape, its a good skirt. I just saw a girl 2 days ago wearing an asymmetry skirt. Unfortunately she was quite short and pretty broad in size and Richard blurted out ‘What is that all about?!’ I could help but laugh and give him a pinch just in case the girl heard and felt hurt. 😛
So, fashion is one thing, looking good IN fashion is another thing. Can’t be a fashion slave and look like a clown – fashion is suppose to make US look beautiful, we are the master/mistress. 😀
Buongiorno Jeannie! I perfectly agree, the first rule is always to wear what fits you perfectly :-). For university I’ve lived in Spain for 6 months and I mete a very cute girl. She was used to say, when we met a girl dressed in a rare way:” Did the enemy dress her this morning???”. To Richard, this is probably the reason why stylists are often male: They don’t see a a dress and a girl, but the just see a girl with a dress. Love your comment! xxx
I love love love! And can we please take note of the fashionable ladies wonderfully spectacular spectacles in the 2nd photo! I need to get me a pair of summer shades like that! XD
wow thanks a lot! It’s a pleasure to read a comment like yours!!! baciii :-*
I love all of them. I like the way the look on the body. I plan to buy a few so that I’ll have them for a long time. I don’t follow trends, but like to do my own thing with my pieces.
I deeply agreed! trends go away…It’s better to build our style piece after piece!!! smack bella
Adore the black versions and the nude ones are perfectly ethereal. Great post!
thanks a lot bella! xxx
All examples are perfect <3
I am a big fan of asymetric skirts. I even DIYed one last year. I usually go for symmetry, but I own a couple of asymmetric clothes (like an unsuall All Saints dress). One thing I want to add about asymmetric skirts and dresses is that they look better with high heels on!
So striking!
Hi! Where can I buy the mint chiffon flowing skirt? I absolutely love it!!! Please help!
